Attic clearing stalls because of the access. Carrying a box down a folding pull-down stair is awkward, and doing it forty times is a day nobody wants. Larger pieces that went up before the space was finished sometimes have to come apart to come back down. We do the climbing and the carrying. You point at what goes and stay off the ladder.

When an attic needs clearing

Usually it is a sale, a roof or insulation job, or an estate where decades of storage has accumulated overhead. Contractors will not work around stored belongings, and buyers open the hatch. Weight is the other reason. Boxes of paper, books and old furniture sitting on joists for years is worth getting out regardless of what else is planned.

We are not insulation installers, so anything that involves removing an intact insulated system is a job for a different trade.
